| I am pleased to write this referral for Carolyn Hansen at Miss Carolyn's Montessori Preschool. My daughter, Mia, has attended full-time preschool with Carolyn since fall, 2006. This was a very big decision for me, as I was going back to work after being at home with my three children for eight years! Mia was three years old when she started, and quite shy and quiet. However, Mia really took to Carolyn's calm and secure ways, and has thrived! One characteristic I have noticed is that Mia's speech and vocabulary has increased remarkably. She has learned to be independent and confident in her own abilities, and loves her days at Carolyn's. In addition, she has developed her large and fine motor skills, and is confident in her relationships and activities. Mia already has a very good grasp of identifying and writing her letters and numbers, as well as the sounds letters make. It won't be long before she is reading and writing! The Montesssori environment is brand new and state-of-the-art! It is a beautiful classroom: roomy, clean and bright. Carolyn serves very healthy and child-friendly warm meals and snacks. We enjoy a small classroom size...just six children at most. Most of all, Carolyn has great respect and tender loving care for these small ones. The children adore her and really have a wonderful time learning and growing. I couldn't ask for a better and more positive environment for my daughter.
